Inlays and Onlays
Inlays and onlays can help to restore damaged teeth and replenish compromised teeth.
They are typically used towards the back of the mouth and are often used on teeth that show signs of damage or decay. They offer more coverage than a filling yet slightly less than a crown. They are also used to replace old silver amalgam fillings.
Inlays are fitted within the four corners of a tooth while onlays overlap the four corners. Each inlay or onlay is made specifically for your individual tooth. While inlays and onlays can be made from a variety of materials, most of our patients choose tooth-coloured options as these blend in with the natural teeth and are undetectable to others.
Each restoration is custom made for you by our laboratory technicians so we can ensure the correct size and a comfortable fit before bonding into place.
