SCI: Sleep Clench Inhibitor
The Sleep Clench Inhibitor is an occlusal splint designed to be worn by patients with bruxism. Bruxism is a condition whereby patients grind their teeth and clench their jaw habitually. It can occur during the waking hours, although it is more common for sufferers to grind their teeth while they sleep.
The SCI is worn at night and helps to reduce or eliminate the effects of bruxism by alleviating pressure on the jaw and teeth.
Symptoms of bruxism include tooth wear, damage to restorative and cosmetic dental work, and discomfort in the head, face, neck, and jaw.
Your SCI will be custom-fit to your upper front teeth from incisor to incisor. The tailored design coupled with the soft inner lining ensures optimal comfort while wearing.
